Get involved

'The relationship between organisations, business and society has never been more tense and confused than it is today. Many of us know we can do capitalism better, but we need the tools, both intellectual and practical, to make sense of it all. Our association with The Work Foundation has been very helpful in enabling us to make connections and see how more work could be better work'

Alan Parker, Chair, The Good Work Commission, CEO of Brunswick Group, London

There are many ways you can actively engage with The Work Foundation and our mission to promote good work for all. We work together with organisations of all sizes, across all sectors.

Founded in 1919 as the Industrial Society, The Work Foundation is an independent charity that is part of Lancaster University. We continue to influence, advise and advocate through the promotion of applied research, policy and voice.  We focus on the short term and long term future issues surrounding work.

The easiest way to actively get involved is by becoming a partner where you gain access to exclusive senior level networks and forums of likeminded individuals and organisations.

We offer many opportunities to actively participate in and shape our applied research. Our unique consortia model provides a structured platform to exchange best practice and access priority insight into high-profile independent research. We work closely with our Partners and offer secondee opportunities within our core research areas and specialist bespoke pieces of work.

We typically engage with chief executives, finance, innovation and strategy directors, human resources professionals, public affairs and policy functions, those responsible for corporate social responsibility and citizenship and those with people management responsibilities.

We host events throughout the year where you can access our latest knowledge and research. Our events range from intimate dinners with business and thought leaders through to peer to peer learning sessions, paper launches and topical debates.

You can join us online and access our webinar series, which focuses on all areas of work including our employment law seminars which offer expert legal guidance.

As a charity, we are able to claim Gift Aid on any donations we receive. Gift Aid applies to gifts made to the charity and enables us to make your donation go further.
