Prateek is a Researcher at the Big Innovation Centre. His area of expertise includes open innovation in the context of creating ecosystems, technological innovation and trajectories, technological road maps and public policy research. He is currently researching new ways to implement open innovation in various organisations. He is also working on an EU project, DeEP, exploring design innovation policy. Prateek leads the Sustainability Action Group that explores the challenges and solutions for low carbon, green technologies and sustainability for innovation ecosystem.

Prior to the Big Innovation Centre, Prateek worked on the European Commission Framework Programme 7 (FP7) project, where he researched best practices of knowledge and technology transfer through public-private innovation partnerships. This involved examining new emerging forms of SME-support mechanisms across the world. He also worked on other FP7 technical projects which focused on networked control systems.
Prateek holds a BEng in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Pune, India and an MSc from the University of Sussex in Technology and Innovation Management.
