Specialising in applied organisational psychology to support organisations, teams and individuals through periods of change and challenge, Marianne's work has included all aspects of people management and organisational development. She has designed and implemented performance and talent management processes, competency frameworks, assessment and development centres, leadership development and recruitment processes. She has led culture change programmes, developed employer branding and worked with organisations on workforce planning strategies and organisational design.
Following a career in HR with Shell International and a period setting up an adult careers guidance service in the public sector, Marianne joined business psychologists Management Dynamics. In 2000, she moved to The Work Foundation and led a team of researchers and consultants focusing on all aspects of people management following the principles of 'good work'. Since then, she has been working as an independent consultant developing an employer brand for a national institution and supported the development of a three year organisational strategy. Clients include Guardian Media Group, Surrey Police, the Society of Radiographers, Standard Chartered Bank, PepsiCo, Cambridgeshire County Council, the National Police Improvement Agency, Hymans Robertson and the Post Office.
Marianne has an MSc in Occupational and Organisational Psychology from Surrey University. She is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and a qualified Business Coach certified by Strathclyde University. She is also accredited to use a range of psychometric tools to explore both ability and personality characteristics.
