The data lab is an interactive tool that presents a range of facts and figures relating to areas of our research and expertise. Follow the links on this page to view a series of motion charts and other animations that show how the data is changing over time. Each graphic has a range of different features that can be customised to bring the data to life.
You can alter a range of variables on the chart, including the main variables and the colour and size of each bubble. Choose each value from the drop-down menus. Click on one or more of the bubbles to follow them over time. You can turn the trails off using the tick box on the right. You can alter the speed of the graph using the slider, or move through time manually.
