Health & wellbeing at work

Thursday, 07 July 2011
10:00 - 12:00
The Work Foundation

Peer-to-peer learning session for research & principal partners

How to achieve a healthy and happy workforce

  • Eric Teasdale, VP global health & wellbeing & chief medical officer, AstraZeneca
  • Stephen Bevan, managing director, The Work Foundation

The modern world of work is as intensive as ever. With a 24/7 world and a backdrop of economic insecurity, work and life are becoming ever busier and more demanding. Whether it be on the shop floor or at senior management team level, people are feeling the strain at work.

So how can we ensure employees are in good shape, enabling them to be innovative and productive?  What role should employers be playing in helping their employees to feel energised and fully fit for work?

In this peer-to-peer learning session, senior leaders from the private and public sector will be able to hear how AstraZeneca has prioritsed health within its business, and to hear the successes and challenges this has brought with it.

The Work Foundation is perfectly placed, with its network of cross-sector organisations and strong links at government level, to provide a platform for organisations to gain access to the latest evidence and thinking on the world of work.

Who should attend?

CEOs, directors of HR, chief medical officers, heads of health, safety and wellbeing, all those with a strategic remit for health & wellbeing.

This session is for Principal Partners only - please contact Louise Shevlane for more details.
