About the event
The Work Foundation together with Fit for Work Coalition launched two discussion papers at the party conference this year. We debated how to enshrine a person’s ability to work within the new National Health Service and how to support employers to keep people in work and reduce sickness absence.
A Fit for Work Coalition brings together representatives from healthcare professionals, employers and patient groups. It aims to improve the productivity of Britain’s workforce, by empowering and supporting people, including those with long – term conditions, to remain in or return to work and be economically active.
