Engage HEI 2012 Conference
Monday, 09 January 2012
10:00 - 16:00
The Work Foundation
Building on the successful Engage HEI conferences in 2007 (Lancaster), in 2009 (Birmingham City) and 2010 (Bradford) the purpose of this conference is to explore how academics and practitioners understand knowledge exchange activities with businesses, frame our work theoretically and practically and incorporate learning in order to improve engagement and to inform policy on the real impact of these kind of activities.
As the country is undergoing the recession, many new ways of dealing with its hardships are being explored and exploited. HEIs have been involved in this process through supporting business development and providing expertise on local, regional, national, European and international levels. A lot has been achieved and it has never been more vital to understand the impacts of this work. Join others at Engage HEI 2012 Conference to share the perspectives in the field, form important relationships and inform change.
The Engage HEI 2012 conference is an open environment for businesses, HEIs and policy makers for exploring the role of higher education in fostering business growth and economic activity as part of the Lancaster University Management School working in partnership with The Work Foundation.
