This event marked the launch of Credos' report The Contribution of Advertising to the UK Economy, written in partnership with The Work Foundation. This work set out to quantify the direct and indirect contribution of the advertising industry to the UK economy.
It also sought to outline the various mechanisms through which advertising stimulates economic growth. The ways in which advertising can drive economic growth is a topic that has been ardently debated and contested for decades.
