Thursday, 19 January 2012
18:00 - 19:00
The Work Foundation, 21 Palmer Street, SW1H 0AD
Communication is the key to success in today’s demanding business environment. But what attributes are necessary for a CEO to effectively inspire, influence and lead a major PLC? This is the topic of a new thought-provoking book by Kevin Murray, Chairman of the Bell Pottinger Group.
Based on original interviews with over 60 top leaders from around the globe, The Language of Leaders provides a unique insight into how these leaders have responded to the demands of a transparent world, reports on what they have learned and how this creates a lexicon for successful communication.
Hosted by Dr Wilson Wong, one of The Work Foundation’s foremost specialists on leadership and HR, this in-conversation will discuss the key themes of leadership as Kevin provides his intuitive and valuable insight into his original research. The discussion will then broaden to debate leadership more widely, examining what leadership is, the role of leaders in society and examine conceptual leadership models.
Signed copies of The Language of Leaders will be available to purchase on the night. A networking buffet of light refreshments will also be available.
