The Work Foundation and Private Equity Foundation launched their report ‘Lost in Transition? The changing labour market and young people not in employment, education or training’ on the 22nd May 2012, marking the event with a roundtable discussion and drinks reception.
The event considered the report's findings, and asked the following key questions:
- How have changes in the labour market hindered the efforts of young people to get into work?
- Are young people well prepared for the opportunities available now and in the future?
- Are services currently well enough tailored to the diverse characteristics of NEET young people?
- How can policymakers, business and the third sector work to ensure young people can make a successful transition into the labour market?
