The contours of organisational fairness

The Work Foundation and Lancaster University are working in partnership with the CIPD on a three year research programme investigating the concept of fairness in organisations. In year one, we have been reviewing literature to find models and frames touching the concepts of fairness, unfairness, equity, justice, and synthesising these into a conceptual framework.
This interactive workshop is an opportunity to actively contribute to our research. The facilitated session will take you through our current thinking around the conceptual framework and investigate your own notions of fairness, where you struggle with the conflicting demands of various constituents in your workplace and in your other roles in society.
The inputs from this session will help to inform our upcoming report from year one (due out in the Autumn) and will be invaluable in shaping the second stage of work. Ultimately, we hope that the outcomes of this research will support better management practice.
