Killing the zombies and raising the innovators

Killing the zombies and raising the innovators

Tuesday, 01 October 2013
08:00 - 09:30
Manchester Central, Exchange 6 & 7, Conservative Party Conference, Manchester

Unproductive firms are being kept alive in the UK by low interest rates and tolerant lenders while too many firms with high potential are struggling to find the help they need to grow. Yet this is the opposite of how a financial system should allocate resources. The event will look at the potential of new types of banking business models which will aim to remove the structural barriers in our economy as well as the opportunity for business accelerator initiatives to build truly supportive environments around small innovative companies.
