The 5th Fit for Work annual summit was held on the 16 of October and aimed to shift the political agenda and urge action towards investing in healthcare to drive economic growth. Key policy-makers and high-level experts came together to debate the theme Investing in Healthcare: Breaking down the Silos, in the premises of the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels. This year’s summit was organised with the official endorsement of the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU and in partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee, in whose premises the event takes place. Furthermore, the summit Investing in Healthcare: Breaking down the Silos was hosted by leading Members of the European Parliament, Gianni Pittella, Vice-chair of the European Parliament, and Dr Antonyia Parvanova, who is also Co-President of Fit for Work Europe.
