Employment Law Seminar: What's New for 2014?
Tuesday, 28 January 2014
09:00 - 12:00
The Work Foundation, 21 Palmer Street, London, SW1H 0AD
Details of the seminar:
Keeping pace with developments in employment law presents a constant challenge – this session offers a useful opportunity to bring your knowledge up to date, and will provide a round-up of key changes in legislation and important cases, along with a discussion of their impact on practice. Our speakers from Bond Dickinson LLP will also look ahead, and analyse the impact of employment law developments for employers and employees alike in 2014, making sense of the various government initiatives to come.
Areas to be covered will include:
The current “hot topics” in employment law, including e.g. the use of zero-hour contracts, DBS checks, and collective redundancy consultation; changes to Employment Tribunal rules and the introduction of fees; the new rules on redundancy consultation and whistleblowing; and also settlement agreements, with the discussions leading to them. The session will also cover eg mandatory pre-claim ACAS conciliation, the changes to TUPE 2006, family rights (e.g. flexible working, shared parental leave and tax free childcare provisions), and the new health and work assessment and advisory service.
This seminar is now fully booked, if you have any questions then please email Alice Holland (firstname.lastname@example.org).
