Health and Well-Being - Partner Workshop

Thursday, 23 April 2009
09:00 - 11:00
21 Palmer Street, London

Format: Interactive workshop

In this challenging environment, it is more important than ever that employers and employees can work together to ensure both organisation and employees are resilient.

As such a strategic approach to wellbeing at work means going far beyond having a sickness absence policy. But with pressure to reduce costs, employers need to justify every pound spent, so how can employers be sure that investing in workplace wellbeing will deliver returns?

Some of the questions that will be asked:

  • How far can employers influence the wellness of their employees?
  • What elements of workplace wellbeing help ensure customer satisfaction?
  • What does a 'strategy' look like
  • How can organisations turn their good intentions into meaningful interventions?

Speakers:

  • Jonathan Russell, Director of Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Department for Work and Pensions
  • Dr Margaret Samuel, Chief Medical Officer, EDF Energy
  • Stephen Bevan, Managing Director, The Work Foundation
  • Pat Pegg Jones, Programme Leader - Health & Well-being, The Work Foundation

Who should attend?

Directors of Strategy, Directors of HR or OD, Directors of Health & Wellbeing, Heads of Occupational Health & Safety

Why you should attend:

This is an opportunity for partner organisations to engage in a lively debate around the issues, learn from other organisations, benchmark their own practices and ideas against what others are doing, and gain insights into our programme of work.
