Partner Roundtable on Mental Health and Work: How to engage senior leaders in mental health

Following on from our first roundtable on mental health and work in March  Three sessions this year were planned by The Work Foundation  developing on some of the emergent themes.The first session has already taken place and  focused on mental health and leadership and discussed some of the following questions:

 

  • Why engage senior leaders in mental health? ·  

 

  • How do we get employee mental health recognised as a business critical issue by senior members of the organisation?    

 

  • Do senior leaders really care about mental health at work? If not, how can we get them to care?

 

  • How do we make the case for action/sustained activity in light of conflicting and competing labour market factors? (e.g. a labour surplus; change)

 

These roundtables are for a small, connected group of partners to come together and share insights, challenges and good practice about managing mental health in the workplace and creating healthy workforces.
