Fit for Work UK parliamentary reception
Monday, 24 October 2016
House of Lords
We are proud members of the Fit for Work UK Coalition which is committed to helping people with long-term health conditions remain in and return to work.
The Coalition is hosting a reception on Monday 24 October in the House of Lords to launch its “Complexities and Challenges: Working with Multiple Health Conditions” report, which explores the links between physical and mental health, and work outcomes. Individual members' work will be showcased including the launch of our up and coming report on comorbidities.
The reception will bring together key patient and professional organisations and parliamentarians with an interest in health and work. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the report’s author and the Minister of State for Disabled People, Health and Work, Penny Mordaunt MP will also be speaking.
The Fit for Work UK Coalition is an active partnership of healthcare professionals, policymakers, employers and advocacy groups that have been working together since 2009 to improve the productivity of Britain’s workforce, empowering people with long-term conditions to remain in or return to work and reinforce the positive impact that work can have on people’s health and wellbeing.
