Principal Partner Exchange Forum: The world of work - The Skills Agenda
Wednesday, 03 February 2010
08:30 - 12:30
The Work Foundation, 21 Palmer Street SW1H OAD
We already know that unskilled people and places are being affected the most in this recession: 84% of jobs lost have been manual, administrative or unskilled. We also know that the UK needs to invest in skills at all levels in order to adapt to a more knowledge intensive economy and ensure that people are not left behind. Understanding how to address these challenges at a national, regional and local level will be crucial for the public, private and third sector.
This exchange forum session will harness insights from our Ideopolis research into the drivers of growth in UK cities and our broader Knowledge Economy Programme to stimulate debate and inform discussion. This session will focus the debate around the policy issues affecting your sector and your organisation.
This forum is exclusively for our network of principal partner organisations.
