There is a constant need for change. This workshop will look at the way in which different types of contracts such as fixed term and agency workers can be used to fill shortage and skill gaps and at how contract terms can be changed. It will review the way in which the statutory redundancy provisions are working and the increasing use of unfair dismissal in redundancy selection disputes. Finally how the EU collective redundancy provisions fit in.
Olga Aikin CBE LLB Chartered FCIPD has a unique reputation for combining legal application with the sound knowledge of UK and EU law. She writes regularly for People Management and other legal and management journals and appears on TV and speaks on radio on subjects related to employment law.
