The Work Foundation 2012 Annual Debate: Does the economy need a new kind of business?

Right across the political spectrum, thinkers and leaders are talking about the possibility of a new approach to our economic system. From the Occupy movement to the widespread anger at top pay and bonuses, there seems to be popular sentiment that the irresponsible pursuit of profit and personal gain has harmed our society and risks its future. Meanwhile, from other quarters we hear cautionary voices expressing concern that a growing 'anti-business' culture could be jeopardising our chances of recovery.
