Innovation

"We aim to change Britain – deliver a step-change in its capacity to innovate and generate wealth. Nothing more; nothing less."

Will Hutton, Chair of the Big Innovation Centre

The Work Foundation has a rich history of excellence and research in good work, people effectiveness and socio-economic and labour market issues. From this platform we undertake evidence-based research on Innovation, focusing on three complementary and forward-looking programmes tackling the big problems facing good work and the economy in the 21st century.

Big Innovation Centre

The Big Innovation Centre is an exciting new initiative, existing to make the UK a global innovation hub. Chaired by Will Hutton, it brings together some of the worlds’ leading companies with key policy institutions to encourage innovation and to balance and grow the UK economy. It carries out business-oriented research, backing up emerging ideas with evidence. With support from all political parties, the Centre will make recommendations on how the UK can build a world-class innovation ecosystem.
