Helping employers support their working carers

The Work Foundation, 21 Palmer Street, London SW1H 0AD

Monday, 6th November 2017, 14.00 for 14.15 until 17.00 (with opportunities for networking after the event)

The Work Foundation and Simplyhealth are organising the policy workshop ‘helping employers support their working carers’.

The purpose of the event is to uncover solutions and develop recommendations as to how we might better support the 1 in 8 working age people in the UK who are providing unpaid informal care whilst working. We want to understand from experts the challenges working carers face, and how policy might be shaped to help employers to address some of those challenges and better support working carers.

We will be joined on the day by Professor Dame Carol Black expert adviser on Health and Work to the Department of Health, Department for Work and Pensions and NHS England, and Professor Keith Brown, Chief Social Care Advisor at Simplyhealth and Director of the National Centre for Post-Qualifying Social Work based at Bournemouth University.

More information will follow in the next few weeks. The event is invite only and places are limited, however if you are interested and wish to attend please contact us by e-mail .
