2004

In 2004 Marks & Spencer commissioned The Work Foundation to examine its contribution to tackling the challenges of unemployment and housing. In particular, two programmes - Ready for Work, aimed at homeless people and delivered in conjunction with Business in the Community (BiTC), and the Young Unemployed Programme, a pilot project undertaken with the Prince’s Trust - are assessed and lessons and recommendations for Marks & Spencer, government and other policymakers provided. It is relevant for policy-makers and managers.
