How to Work with Us
We work with a wide range of partners in different ways:
- Strategic research: we work with one or more partners (for example in consortia) to conduct projects on strategic issues. In the past we have conducted projects on the role of higher education institutions in cities, the changing demand for skills in cities and the role of partnerships in improving city economies working with a range of private and public sector sponsors, including BT, CLG, OECD, The Northern Way, Manchester City Council, Norwich City Council, the UK Commission for Employment and Skills and many others.
- Bespoke economic development projects: we work with cities to help them understand the impact of the changing economy on their area and how to respond. For example we have worked with North Staffordshire and Sheffield City Region.
- Provocation series: we are setting up a ‘provocation’ series and looking for partners to support short, punchy reports that examine controversial issues such as whether it is possible to balance economic growth and sustainability successfully.
- City Leaders Network: A unique cross-sectoral national network that helps city leaders to understand what the changing economy means for their cities and regions in which they work, and how to translate this understanding into action.
