"The City Leaders Network is one of the few places where I can discuss the key economic challenges facing our cities and regions, get access to leading experts, and learn from the experiences of other localities. The agenda has also proved to be very flexible and responsive to the new economic circumstances which we face."
Glenn Athey, Director, Insight East (Regional Intelligence Centre), East of England Development Agency
The Ideopolis City Leadership Network was launched in 2008 to fulfil a demand for a cross-sectoral national network to support city leaders from across the UK and from different sectors to discuss, share expertise about and get to grips with the important issues that cities face. Keeping an eye on the big picture, learning from others and sharing expertise become more important in these difficult times.
The Ideopolis City Leadership Network is:
• A unique cross-sectoral national network that helps city leaders to understand what the changing economy means for their cities and regions in which they work, and how to translate this understanding into action.
• An ‘ideas lab’ for leaders and decision makers in the civic, education, business and third sector, all grappling with the opportunities and challenges that places and businesses face in the changing economy.
• A forum for discussing both practical and strategic issues.
