Workforce effectiveness

The Work Foundation has a simple aspiration: to make good work available to all. Good work, which is fulfilling, healthy and productive, is the foundation of a successful, inclusive and sustainable economy.

The Centre for Workforce Effectiveness is committed to conducting applied research that helps employers and policy makers deliver and benefit from more good work. We are also ready to challenge policy makers to embed the principles of good work into the way employment, welfare, business and health policies affect people of working age, both now and in the future.

Schizophrenia and Employment

Only 8%  of people with schizophrenia are in paid employment. The Work Foundation has  published a report about the impact of schizophrenia on working life years which was launched at parliament in February 2013.

Fit for Work

The Fit for Work project has looked at the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders among the working-age population in 27 EU countries and beyond. The Fit for Work Coalition brings together people with long-term conditions, healthcare professionals, employers and policy makers to improve the health and wellbeing of employees.
